Called an “Eco-Leader” of the beverage industry, Cuca Fresca’s mission
of supporting global conservation is demonstrated by our artisanal and sustainable production methods and continued support of several key environmental organizations including the Rainforest Foundation, Global Green, charity: water, and Riverkeeper.

ORGANIC CANE
Each batch of Cuca Fresca's award-winning cachaça is made from organic sugarcane, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, which have a serious long-term impact on the environment. These organic farming methods protect the soil, water and local food chain from the buildup of unhealthy chemicals.

HARVESTING METHODS
All of our cane is hand cut and never burnt during harvests. Burning the cane, which is a time-saving method typically used in conventional farming and cachaça production, alters its natural yeasts and taste. It is also damaging to the environment.

KEEPING IT LOCAL
In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, and support the surrounding local community, every element of Cuca Fresca's packaging is made locally, including the signature bamboo birds on the side of each bottle of Cuca Fresca Premium Cachaça. These birds are all hand painted by local artists and each one is unique.

Cuca Fresca Exports, LLC partnered with the Rainforest Foundation-US in 2007 through 2008 to increase awareness and fundraising support for the Rainforest Foundation-US. Through the partnership Cuca Fresca donated a portion of sales to support the Rainforest Foundation’s conservation efforts in Brazil, with an emphasis on protecting the Guayana Shield, an area containing more than 25 percent of the Earth’s humid tropical forests.
The Rainforest Foundation-US was founded in 1989 by Sting and Trudie Styler, and has been the most influential organization in Brazil’s rainforest preservation efforts.
